About the Role
Tycoon Asphalt is a Charlotte-based asphalt paving and pavement preservation contractor. We hire for attitude and work ethic — experience in asphalt, sealcoating, striping, or construction is a bonus. This asphalt crew lead role reports out of our HQ at 316 Voncannon Dr, Charlotte, NC 28216.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily crew operations from morning staging through final walkthrough
- Enforce Tycoon’s non-negotiable prep checklist before any product is applied
- Scope on-site conditions and escalate structural issues before cosmetic work
- Train crew members on safety, quality, and customer communication
- Coordinate schedules with ownership for residential and commercial jobs
Requirements
- 2+ years asphalt, sealcoating, paving, or related crew leadership experience
- Ability to plan job sequencing, materials, and traffic control
- Clear communicator with property managers, homeowners, and crew
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
Nice to Have
- Experience managing overnight or weekend commercial lot windows
- Estimating or sales support experience
