About the Role
Tycoon Asphalt is a Charlotte-based asphalt paving and pavement preservation contractor. We hire for attitude and work ethic — experience in asphalt, sealcoating, striping, or construction is a bonus. This asphalt crew member role reports out of our HQ at 316 Voncannon Dr, Charlotte, NC 28216.
Responsibilities
- Prep asphalt surfaces: mechanical sweeping, wire-brushing oil spots, blowing cracks and joints clean
- Assist with sealcoating, hot-pour crack filling, pothole patching, and line striping
- Load and unload materials, set up traffic control, and keep job sites clean and safe
- Follow crew lead direction and Tycoon’s prep-first quality standards on every property
- Communicate clearly with teammates and represent Tycoon professionally with customers
Requirements
- Reliable transportation to our Charlotte HQ at 316 Voncannon Dr
- Ability to work outdoors in heat, sun, and seasonal weather
- Comfortable with physical labor: lifting, bending, standing for long shifts
- Dependable show-up culture and willingness to learn our prep process
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
Nice to Have
- Prior asphalt, sealcoating, landscaping, or construction experience
- Valid driver’s license
