About the Role
Tycoon Asphalt is a Charlotte-based asphalt paving and pavement preservation contractor. We hire for attitude and work ethic — experience in asphalt, sealcoating, striping, or construction is a bonus. This asphalt estimator role reports out of our HQ at 316 Voncannon Dr, Charlotte, NC 28216.
Responsibilities
- Review inbound estimate requests and respond within Tycoon’s 24-hour target
- Perform site reviews or photo-based scopes for driveways, lots, and HOA roads
- Prepare clear digital quotes that separate liability-first repairs from seasonal work
- Follow up with homeowners, property managers, churches, and HOAs
- Coordinate handoffs to crew leads so jobs start with accurate scopes
Requirements
- Strong written and phone communication skills
- Comfortable with digital tools for quotes, scheduling, and photo review
- Organized, detail-oriented, and honest about what work is needed vs. optional
- Based in or willing to work from the Charlotte area
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
Nice to Have
- Prior estimating, construction sales, or property management experience
- Familiarity with asphalt maintenance services
